| Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing is a national organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings. A very active NJ group works with veterans from the VA hospital in Lyons, NJ, holding fly tying sessions and hosting fishing outings at the Pequest hatchery and other locations, and they could always use more help. | The Jersey Shore Chapter of TU will again be hosting a Fishing Derby at the Monmouth County Park Systems annual Outdoor Adventure Expo which will be held this year on May 20, 2012. The Expo runs from 11:00am until 5:00pm, with the Fishing Derby from 12:00-2:00pm. We will need lots of help for the Derby as we often have more than 100 kids participating. Help is also needed to staff the JSTU booth at the Expo. Please consider volunteering for this fun and important outreach event. Contact Jim Ketchersid for more information or to volunteer to help. |
